Job summary

Abell Pest Control is seeking a Pest Technician for on-site inspections and pest eradication, with a focus on building new business through sales. The role includes following safety guidelines while using fumigants and equipment and coordinating schedules for timely service completion.

You will be trained and supported as you develop expertise in pest control methods, customer service, and territory growth, with opportunities for advancement and a strong, family-oriented culture.

Qualifications

• Driver's license with clean driving record.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Willingness to obtain Applicator's License.
• Sales experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Guide extermination processes and methods including pesticides or traps.
• Establish contact with potential customers to create new business opportunities.
• Follow safety procedures when using fumigants, pesticides and spray equipment.
• Manage schedule and route to complete services timely.
• Address customer needs and optimize their program on-site.

Pest Technician - We'll Train! (Base Salary, Commission & Bonus included)

Reporting to the Branch Manager, The Pest Technician will be responsible for conducting thorough inspections to a variety of business including residential homes. They identify pest problems, choose an effective approach to eradicate pests and provide recommendations to prevent future infestation. You will also be required to build new business through sales.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance for the best extermination processes for the identified infestation source and whether the process will include pesticide use, mechanical traps, blockages, and/or other pest control methods
• Establish contact with potential customers to create new business opportunities
• Follow safety procedures and product instructions at all times when using fumigants, pesticides and power spraying equipment, such wearing protective gear guidelines
• Manage schedule and route to ensure services are completed in a timely manner
• Address customer needs and optimize their program on-site

Requirements:

• A Driver's License with a clean driving record
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal
• Willingness to obtain your Applicator's License
