SE Health is excited to offer this new sponsored training program to provide a new generation of passionate PSWs with the skills they need to help people in our communities.

Are you someone who wants to put their energy and passion for life towards caring for others? We are seeking committed, compassionate individuals who can multi-task to meet various challenges.

This training program has been designed to equip you with the knowledge and skills necessary for success.

This 6-month training program includes:

  • Five (5) weeks of PAID PSW Training at $19.05/hr, Monday to Friday, 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
  • Candidates who successfully complete the first 5 weeks of paid training will be paid to work part-time in the community with SE Health while continuing their PSW education.
  • The program continues with 4 months of virtual learning, 3 weeks of in-person skills lab, and required placements.
  • Training covers personal care activities, household management, and general support.

Requirements:

  • Ability to travel and attend meetings to support patient needs
  • Valid G or G2 driver’s license and own reliable vehicle (mandatory)
  • Standard First Aid and Level C CPR certification within 3 weeks of start date
  • Proof of updated immunizations (MMR, Varicella/Zosters, HepB, Tetanus) and a negative Tuberculosis test (from within the last 6 months)
  • Clear police check and vulnerable sector check (upon job offer)
