Join RhynoCare Staffing Solutions as a Personal Support Worker (PSW) - Richmond Hill.

Location: Richmond Hill, Ontario, Canada

Job Type: Other, Entry level

Salary: CA$20.00-CA$23.00 per hour

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled care for all activities of daily living in accordance with corporate policy, standards, and nursing practice.
• Assist registered staff with diagnostic and therapeutic measures.
• Complete timely, accurate documentation following policies and regulations.
• Ensure holistic, quality resident care aligned with RhynoCare’s Mission, Vision, Values, and the Resident Bill of Rights.
• Support resident meal services and restorative nursing activities.
• Coordinate activities for effective resident care during shifts and across the unit.
• Follow current legislation, best practices, and corporate policies in care execution.
• Participate in risk management and quality improvement programs.
• Mentor new staff/students and promote educational opportunities.
• Attend departmental, interdisciplinary, and safety meetings.
• Maintain safety procedures, including proper body mechanics, equipment use, PPE, and lockout protocols.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Proficient in verbal and written English; second language skills are an asset.
• Completion of a Ministry of Education approved PSW Training Program (minimum 640 hours) or equivalent qualifications such as RN, RPN, Paramedic, Occupational Therapist, or Physiotherapy students in Year 1.
• Experience as a Facility PSW is an asset.
• Negative T.B. skin test or chest x-ray.
• Current CPR (BCLS) and First Aid certificates.
• Meet health surveillance requirements of the Public Hospitals Act.
• VSS within the past year confirming no criminal record.
