Job summary

Cogir Senior Living in Kingston, ON is hiring a Personal Support Worker (PSW) for a casual part-time role at St. Lawrence Place. The position focuses on delivering compassionate daily living assistance, including mobility, personal care and nutrition support, within a resident-centered team.

Candidates must hold PSW certification or be a internationally educated nurse, with current BCLS and First Aid and a recent Vulnerable Sector Check. Onboarding includes training and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• PSW certification from a certified educational facility or internationally educated nurse
• Strong drive, respect and understanding of the emotional and physical demands of the role
• Teamwork and customer service focus with ability to build trusted relationships
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Demonstrated organizational and time management skills
• Volunteer/working experience in a Senior Living setting is an asset
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) and First Aid certification
• Current Vulnerable Sector Check (within six months) or willingness to obtain one

Responsibilities

• Support residents with ambulatory needs, personal hygiene, companionship and nutritional support
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary team to provide high-quality care
• Document care tasks accurately in the electronic health record and communicate changes to the clinical leads
