Yee Hong Centre for Geriatric Care in Toronto is seeking a Personal Support Worker to support residents with daily activities, personal care, and well-being. You will work within a compassionate, resident-centred team to uphold dignity and independence for diverse seniors.

The role requires Ontario PSW training, CPR certification, and strong interpersonal and time-management skills; Chinese language ability is an asset.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved Personal Support Worker course in Ontario or equivalent.
• Experience in long-term care is an asset.
• Current CPR certificate and registration with relevant authority preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and support to residents in daily activities and personal hygiene.
• Assist with mobility, activities of daily living, and emotional well-being while adhering to resident-centred care.

Through this comprehensive network, the organization serves more than 15,000 individuals annually across the Greater Toronto Area.The Personal Support Worker (PSW) will provide personal care to assist clients in their daily activities and personal hygiene. The PSW will support the clients' physical, social and emotional needs in a safe manner, in accordance with the organization's resident-centred approach, complying with relevant government standards, residents' rights and the organizations mission and philosophy.QualificationsGraduate of an approved Personal Support Worker course in Ontario, or equivalentExperience in long term care setting an assetCurrent CPR CertificateRegistration with Health and Supportive Care Providers Oversight Authority (HSCPOA) preferred.Resident-centred care focus with strong customer service and interpersonal skillsDemonstrated ability to take initiative, problem-solve and time manageAbility to work independently as well as be an active, positive team playerBehavioural management training (Gentle Persuasive Approach (GPA), U-First, CPI) an assetComputer literacy (Point Click Care, MS Office).
