Job summary

Grey County's Long-Term Care department is recruiting permanent part-time Personal Support Workers at Rockwood Terrace in Durham, ON (Municipality of West Grey). This role reports to the PSW Coordinator and supports residents with daily living activities according to individualized care plans.

The position emphasizes teamwork with RPNs and RNs, adherence to MOHLTC regulations, and maintaining accurate documentation while fostering a compassionate, resident-centered environment.

Qualifications

• Must have completed a PSW program approved under the Long Term Care Homes Act, 2007 and Ontario Regulations 79/10.
• Experience in a long-term care setting is preferable.
• Proficiency in interpersonal communication, both written and verbal.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to take direction and follow policies and procedures.
• Caring, empathetic attitude and proactive team member.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care per resident plan and within scope of practice.
• Maintain accurate and complete records of personal care delivered.
• Demonstrate knowledge of equipment used in nursing care.
• Follow corporate policies and MOHLTC standards.
• Observe, report and record resident conditions and follow care plans with RN/RPN guidance.
• Contribute to a safe, resident-centered environment.
