Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Personal Support Worker Program.
• Solid knowledge of community nursing principles and methods.
• One year of recent personal care experience or relevant life experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care service according to directions on the established care plan or assignment sheet, ensuring emotional, spiritual, physical comfort and safety of clients.
• Provide personal care within the provincial scope of practice, including skin care, bathing, mobility assistance, feeding, and medication reminders.
• Perform specialized, client-specific procedures with demonstrated competency.
• Observe and document client conditions according to company standards; report unusual events or changes to the Supervisor or Office.
• Follow infection prevention practices and participate in continuing education activities.
• Adhere to Bayshore Policies and Procedures and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
• Support Health & Safety activities and communicate risks to Supervisor.
• Maintain confidentiality of client and corporate information.

Education
