Qualicare Burlington is seeking dedicated Personal Support Workers to join our diverse team. If you are passionate about providing compassionate in-home care, we want you on our team.

As a PSW, you will assist clients with daily living activities, maintain privacy and dignity, and support families with care plans. Shifts include evenings (4-8pm) for private clients, with flexible hours and ongoing learning opportunities.

Qualifications

• PSW certificate or nursing student or international educated nurse or health care aide required.
• Previous hands-on experience providing personal care preferred.
• Must have a recent Vulnerable Sector Check.
• First Aid/CPR certificate is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with daily living activities such as personal care and hygiene.
• Maintain complete and confidential information for each client.
• Provide social/emotional support to clients and their families with kindness.
• Accompany clients and assist with walking, exercise and mobility.

Preferred Candidates

• Must have either Personal Support Worker (PSW) Certificate or Nursing students, or International Educated Nurses or Health Care Aid
• Previous hands-on experience providing personal care to clients is preferred.

• Valid First Aid/CPR Certificate is considered an asset

As A PSW You Will

• May include but is not limited to, assisting individuals with daily living such as personal care and hygiene (i.e., Toileting, bathing, feeding, etc.), light housekeeping, laundry, meal preparation, nutrition, shifts reports, and creating activity plans.
• Maintain complete and confidential information for each individual supported.
• Provide social/emotional support to clients and their families, able to provide care in a kind and understanding manners to seniors.
• Accompany clients and assist them with walking, exercise, and mobility
