Job summary

ParaMed is seeking a Personal Support Worker to help patients in their homes and communities, enabling independence and comfort. You will assist with daily living activities, meals, and basic housekeeping while providing companionship.

The role emphasizes compassionate patient interactions, reliability, and flexibility, with driving to patient residences within a geographic area. Training and benefits are provided as part of ParaMed's total rewards package.

Qualifications

• Valid Personal Support Worker Certificate.
• Ability to demonstrate compassion and care when interacting with patients.
• Reliability and flexibility are essential.
• Valid driver license and access to a vehicle to travel to patient residences.
• Proficiency in Chinese is an asset as many clients primarily speak this language.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living including bathing, toileting, and peri-care.
• Prepare nutritious meals and snacks per care plan.
• Provide basic housekeeping tasks and companionship to improve quality of life.
