Job summary

ParaMed Home Health Care is seeking a Personal Support Worker (PSW) to join our home and community care team in Ontario. You will support, encourage and enable independence for patients in their homes, assisting with activities of daily living and providing compassionate, reliable care.

Part-time position with competitive wages ($21.52 - $24.29 per hour). You’ll travel within a geographic area, maintain care plans, and contribute to a supportive team focused on patient well-being and continuity

Qualifications

• Valid Personal Support Worker certificate or license as required by local regulation.
• Ability to demonstrate compassion and genuine care when interacting with patients.
• Reliability and flexibility to support patients in home settings.
• Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle to travel to patient residences within the area.
• Clear Vulnerable Sector Screen on or before commencement of employment.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living including skin, hair, and oral care, bathing, toileting, and peri-care.
• Prepare nutritious meals and snacks as determined by care plans.
• Provide basic housekeeping and companionship to improve quality of life.

What You’ll Do

• Assist patients with activities of daily living including skin, hair, and oral care along with bathing, toileting, & peri-care
• Prepare nutritious meals and snacks, including special diets, as determined by the care plan
• Provide basic housekeeping tasks and companionship to help your patients enjoy a better quality of life
