Job summary

ParaMed is seeking a Personal Support Worker to join our home and community care team in Ontario. You will assist patients with daily living activities, meals, mobility, and comfort to promote independence in their homes.

Responsibilities include helping with bathing, grooming, light housekeeping, and companionship. A valid PSW certificate, driver’s license, and a Vulnerable Sector Screen are required; bilingual English/French is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Must have valid Personal Support Worker certificate.
  • Ability to demonstrate compassion and care when interacting with patients.
  • Valid driver license and access to a vehicle to travel to patient residences within a geographical area.
  • Clear Vulnerable Sector Screen.
  • Bilingualism (English/French) is preferred to support client care.

Responsibilities

  • Assist patients with activities of daily living including skin, hair, and oral care along with bathing, toileting, and peri-care.
  • Prepare nutritious meals and snacks, including special diets per care plan.
  • Provide basic housekeeping tasks and companionship to improve quality of life.
