Job summary

ParaMed in Toronto, Ontario is seeking a dedicated Personal Support Worker to support patients in their homes and communities, assisting with daily living activities, meals, and hygiene.

You will work with a compassionate approach, maintain safety, complete light housekeeping, and provide companionship, with training, benefits, and flexible scheduling.

Excellent communication and reliability are essential, with a Vulnerable Sector Screen and language skills considered a plus.

Qualifications

• Valid Personal Support Worker Certificate is required.
• Ability to demonstrate compassion and care when interacting with patients.
• Reliability and flexibility in scheduling and duties.
• Clear Vulnerable Sector Screen is required.
• Proficiency in Mandarin, Cantonese, Portuguese, Ukrainian, or Russian is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living including skin, hair, and oral care along with bathing, toileting, & peri-care.
• Prepare nutritious meals and snacks, including special diets as per care plan.
• Provide basic housekeeping tasks and companionship to improve quality of life.
