Carecor is looking for dedicated and compassionate Personal Support Workers to join our team working in Ottawa Area hospitals. We’re ready when you are!

Under the direction of facility nursing staff, you will perform floor and observational care duties—helping to create an environment that promotes optimal physical, social, and emotional well-being for patients. Each assignment involves a full 12-hour shift at one facility.

Pay Rate: $18 per hour

Job Qualifications

Our “exemplary standing” with Accreditation Canada reflects our high standards in hiring and patient care.

• Personal Support Worker (PSW) certificate from an Ontario Community College Program, a private career college approved by the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities, or an approved Ontario Board of Education PSW Program.
• Nursing students enrolled in RN or RPN programs with at least one clinical placement in medical or surgical settings.
• Internationally Educated Nurses (IEN) with recent medical or surgical experience, registered with OPSWA, CNO, or through an academic pathway.
• Recent PSW graduates or those who have worked as a PSW within the past two years.
• Proof of current immunizations for MMRV, Tdap, hepatitis B.
• Proof of a negative two-step TB skin test within the past year or a negative chest x-ray within five years.
• Current BCLS-HCP certification.
• Current N95 Mask Fit Test Certificate.
• Willingness to undergo a Vulnerable Sector Police Check as a condition of employment.

Note: Due to recent mandates, healthcare workers must provide proof of full COVID-19 vaccination prior to starting.
