Job summary

SE Health is hiring Personal Support Workers (PSW) for community care shifts in Denbigh, Ompah and Maberly. Full-time and part-time days and evenings are available, with a $3,000 sign-on bonus and comprehensive benefits.

The role includes travel between clients with mileage and time covered, plus uniform provisions. The successful candidates will meet provincial PSW requirements, hold a valid driver’s license, immunizations, a current VSC, CPR Level C and First Aid.

Qualifications

• Nursing student with clinical placements completed
• Valid driver’s license and vehicle for work daily
• Immunization requirements including MMR, Varicella, TB and Tetanus

Qualifications accepted to work as a PSW:

• Valid Certificate as a Personal Support Worker (PSW)
• RN or RPN
• Nursing student (2 clinical placements completed)
• Valid Developmental Support Worker Diploma
• Foreign trained healthcare professional - Nurse

Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license and vehicle to use for work daily is required
• Meet Immunization requirements – MMR, Varicella, TB and Tetanus
• Current vulnerable sector check (VSC)
• Current Standard CPR level C certificate and First Aid
• Availability to workdays OR evenings and every other weekend
• This is a physically demanding position and requires hand, arm and shoulder dexterity, sensory ability, lifting to a maximum of approximately fifty-five (55) pounds, walking, climbing stairs, standing, bending, reaching, and frequent movement
