Job description

Reporting to the Resident Care Supervisors or designate, the Personal Support Worker is responsible for providing exceptional resident care and delivering services with consideration for cultural, spiritual, social, and restorative needs.

Qualifications, Skills & Abilities :

• Completion of Post-Secondary education would be preferred;
• Certified Personal Support Worker (PSW) as per the requirements of the Long Term Care Act and regulations;
• Minimum of six (6) months experience in a Long Term care facility will be considered an asset;
• Experience working with seniors and/or chronic care residents in a Long Term Care Facility;
• Bilingualism will be considered an asset;
• All other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities :

The Personal Support Worker is responsible for following all Glen Stor Dun Lodge and Corporate policies to ensure safe resident care. The individual will promote and participate in team delivery of care. This position will identify and communicate resident equipment needs. The Personal Support Worker will need to demonstrate effective communication and interpersonal skills.
