Job summary

Saint Elizabeth in Ontario is hiring a Part Time Day Personal Support Worker (PSW) for Community Care and surrounding areas. We will cover your mileage and travel time, and youll join a team that values your goals with great benefits and ongoing training.

A valid PSW certificate is required, with options for RN/RPN or nursing students in eligible situations. Availability includes days or evenings and every other weekend.

Qualifications

• Valid PSW certificate required.
• RN or RPN credentials accepted.
• Nursing student with two clinical placements completed.
• Developmental Support Worker Diploma or equivalent.
• Foreign trained healthcare professional (Nurse) considered.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and assistance to clients.
• Support activities of daily living in community settings.
• Assist with mobility, transfers, and medication reminders as required.
• Document care provided and communicate with team.

Qualifications accepted to work as a PSW

• Valid Certificate as a Personal Support Worker (PSW)
• RN or RPN
• Nursing student (2 clinical placements completed)
• Valid Developmental Support Worker Diploma
• Foreign trained healthcare professional - Nurse.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license and vehicle to use for work daily is required
• Meet Immunization requirements – MMR, Varicella, TB, Tetanus
• Current vulnerable sector check (VSC).
• Current Standard CPR level C certificate and First Aid
• Availability to workdays OR eveningsand every other weekend.
• This is a physically demanding position and requires hand, arm and shoulder dexterity, sensory ability, lifting to a maximum of approximately fifty-five (55) pounds, walking, climbing stairs, standing, bending, reaching, and frequent movement.
