Job summary

SE Health in Roseneath, Ontario is hiring part-time evenings Personal Support Workers to serve community care clients. The role offers mileage and travel time coverage and opportunities across Canada within a supportive, not-for-profit health system.

Applicants must hold a valid PSW certificate or equivalent and meet licensing, immunization, and CPR/First Aid requirements; a driver’s license and vehicle are required. Availability evenings and weekends is necessary.

Qualifications

• Valid PSW certificate or equivalent.
• RN or RPN licensure (or eligibility).
• Nursing student with two clinical placements.
• Developmental Support Worker Diploma valid.
• Foreign trained healthcare professional permitted to work as a nurse.

Responsibilities

• Valid driver’s license and vehicle required for daily work.
• Meet immunization requirements (MMR, Varicella, TB, Tetanus).
• Maintain current Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC).
• Hold CPR level C certificate and First Aid.
• Evening shifts and every other weekend availability.
• Physical duties include lifting up to ~55 pounds, walking, stairs, and bending.

Qualifications Accepted To Work As a PSW

• Valid Certificate as a Personal Support Worker (PSW)
• RN or RPN
• Nursing student (2 clinical placements completed)
• Valid Developmental Support Worker Diploma
• Foreign trained healthcare professional - Nurse

Requirements

• This is a physically demanding position and requires hand, arm and shoulder dexterity, sensory ability, lifting to a maximum of approximately fifty-five (55) pounds, walking, climbing stairs, standing, bending, reaching, and frequent movement
