Job summary

SE Health, a not-for-profit social enterprise, invites applications for a Personal Support Worker in Barrie, Ontario. You will support clients daily, requiring a valid PSW certificate, driver license, immunization, CPR C and First Aid, and the ability to lift up to 55 pounds.

Travel between clients is paid; a vehicle and mobile device are provided. You will join a nationally focused team dedicated to health, aging, inclusion, and community impact, with education bursaries, mentorship, and robust

• RN or RPN considered.
• Nursing student with 2 clinical placements.
• Developmental Support Worker Diploma (or equivalent).
• Foreign trained healthcare professional - Nurse welcome.

Qualifications accepted to work as a PSW:

• Valid Certificate as a Personal Support Worker (PSW)
• RN or RPN
• Nursing student (2 clinical placements completed)
• Valid Developmental Support Worker Diploma
• Foreign trained healthcare professional - Nurse

Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license and vehicle to use for work daily is required
• Meet Immunization requirements – MMR, Varicella, TB, Tetanus
• Current vulnerable sector check (VSC)
• Current Standard CPR level C certificate and First Aid
• Availability to workdaysand every other weekend
• This is a physically demanding position and requires hand, arm and shoulder dexterity, sensory ability, lifting to a maximum of approximately fifty-five (55) pounds, walking, climbing stairs, standing, bending, reaching, and frequent movement
