Qualifications

  • RIBO license preferred.

We are seeking a Personal Insurance Advisor (Non-Standard Service) to join BrokerLink, working out of one of our Ontario offices from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. EST, on a permanent full-time basis.

Responsibilities include:

  • Advising clients with high-risk profiles on personal insurance options, conducting needs assessments, and recommending tailored solutions.
  • Managing ongoing client needs, inquiries, renewals, and conducting care calls to ensure satisfaction.
  • Writing new business and retaining clients through expert advice and relationship building.
  • Quoting new business via outbound calls, letters, and walk-in consultations.
  • Negotiating policy terms with underwriters and adjusters for non-standard coverage.
  • Preparing documentation, completing applications, issuing certificates, processing changes, and reviewing renewals.
  • Staying informed on underwriting rules, market trends, and carrier guidelines.
  • Participating in training and professional development initiatives.
  • Engaging in community marketing to promote brand presence and trust.
  • Handling accounts receivable activities and providing peer support as needed.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or post-secondary education
  • Minimum 1-year personal insurance experience preferred
  • RIBO license preferred
  • Experience with Epic is an asset
  • Strong multitasking, analytical, and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to pass criminal and credit background checks
