Job summary

TAG HR is seeking a Personal Injury Associate Lawyer to join an established Ottawa law firm. This role focuses on handling personal injury files from intake through resolution and advising clients on their rights.

You will grow your practice in a supportive environment while working directly with clients on personal injury matters. The ideal candidate is licensed to practice in Ontario with strong research, drafting, negotiation, and advocacy skills.

Qualifications

• Qualified lawyer in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario.
• Experience handling personal injury matters, ideally plaintiff-side.
• Strong research, drafting, negotiation, and advocacy skills.
• Excellent communication and client relationship management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of personal injury files from intake through resolution.
• Conduct legal research, prepare pleadings, and draft legal correspondence and documentation.
• Handle negotiations with opposing counsel, insurers, and other parties.
• Prepare for discoveries, mediations, pre-trial conferences, and trials as required.
• Advise clients on their legal rights, options, and the progress of their claims.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues and support staff to ensure files are managed efficiently.
