Bayshore is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Personal Caregiver to join our esteemed team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering exceptional care and support to our clients, ensuring their comfort, safety, and overall well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive homemaking services, including cleaning, cooking, laundry, and general household management.
  • Offer companionship and accompany clients to community activities and events.
  • Administer personal care services according to care plan directives.
  • Ensure the emotional, spiritual, and physical comfort and safety of clients.
  • Assist clients with activities of daily living, tailored to meet their specific needs.
  • Perform specialized procedures with proper training and current competency.
  • Observe and document client conditions, reporting any changes or unusual events.
  • Implement and adhere to infection prevention practices.

Requirements
  • Completion of an accredited caregiver training program or equivalent education and experience.
  • Strong knowledge of caregiving principles and customer service.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English; French is an asset.
  • Ability to provide high-quality care with current community care practices knowledge.
  • Physical ability to assist clients with movement, including lifting up to 23 kg, squatting, bending, standing, and reaching.
  • Reliable transportation; driver's license and vehicle are assets.
  • Ability to produce a clear Criminal background check with Vulnerable Sector Check.

Dependent on provincial regulations and the specific position, new hires may need to provide proof of vaccination against illnesses such as COVID-19, Hepatitis, and Seasonal Flu.
