Job summary

The Toronto-Dominion Bank in Montréal, QC, is seeking a Personal Banker to help clients meet their financial goals by offering investment and credit banking solutions and building lasting relationships.

You will engage customers with thoughtful questions, provide personalized advice, and collaborate with frontline staff to address concerns while maintaining confidentiality and accuracy. IFIC certification and strong MS Office skills are beneficial in this fast-paced role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and/or 1 year of relevant experience.
• Post-Secondary or Undergraduate degree in related field is an asset.
• Completion of IFIC or equivalent required.
• CFSA must be completed within 12 months, if hired.
• Real estate secured lending and/or investment experience an asset.
• Sound knowledge of advanced investing and credit processes, banking solutions and concepts in order to provide personalized advice to customers in a fast-paced work environment.
• Proficiency in software tools including MS Office, and internet application.
• Tactful communicator able to exchange ideas and customer information in a concise and logical way.
• A self-initiator with strong organizational, planning and time management skills - Mandarin/Cantonese language skills are an asset

Responsibilities

• Advise customers of high-level financial solutions from a range of available investment and credit banking solutions.
• Engage with customers by asking thoughtful financial questions and create positive experiences to retain and deepen relationships.
• Provide personalized financial advice to increase customer confidence and address questions.
• Act as a point of contact for the frontline staff in handling customer problems.
• Maintain professional space in common areas per guidelines.
• Work with customers to provide financial reviews and discuss portfolio updates.
• Stay knowledgeable about regulations and participate in process improvements to protect the organization.
