Position: Permit Technician / Permit Clerk

As a Permit Technician / Permit Clerk, you will play a key role in processing and managing building permits and related applications. Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Reviewing permit applications to ensure compliance with local codes, zoning regulations, and safety standards.
  2. Issuing permits and managing the permit tracking system, including data entry and record maintenance.
  3. Providing assistance and information to the public, contractors, and other stakeholders regarding permit requirements and procedures.
  4. Reviewing construction plans and documents for completeness and regulatory compliance.
  5. Coordinating with various departments and agencies to facilitate the permit approval process.
  6. Handling permit fees, including calculation and payment processing.
  7. Preparing and maintaining reports and documentation related to permit applications and approvals.
  8. Staying informed about changes in building codes, regulations, and permitting procedures to ensure accuracy and currency of information.
