Job summary

J&J Building Construction Ltd. is seeking a Concrete Finisher to join our Strathmore team. You will work on-site, prepare formwork and surfaces, and apply concrete finishes according to project specs.

The ideal candidate has 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in concrete finishing, proficiency in English, and the ability to work outdoors in dusty, hot, and noisy environments. Permanent full-time position with 35 hours per week.

Qualifications

• English language proficiency.
• Secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.
• 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in concrete finishing or related field.

Responsibilities

• Check formwork, granular base and steel reinforcement materials.
• Direct placement of concrete into forms or onto surfaces according to grade.
• Fill hollows and remove spots on freshly poured cement.
• Operate power vibrators to compact concrete.
• Level top surface concrete and finish with hand or power tools.
• Install anchor bolts, steel plates, door sills and other fixtures; apply curing components.
• Waterproof, damp proof and restore surfaces; repair, resurface and replace damaged sections.
