Job summary

DSV - Global transport and logistics in Dartmouth, NS, is seeking an Operations, Perishable Specialist. The role centers on processing perishable shipments from start to finish, coordinating movement and monitoring, ensuring compliance with DSV policies, and serving as the main customer contact for timely updates and issue resolution.

You will communicate with customers, overseas offices, airlines, and truckers, and prepare quotes, reports, and regulatory paperwork as required.

Qualifications

• Three years international transportation experience or related education.
• Education in supply chain logistics or related field.
• CIFFA certificate (asset).
• Authorized Cargo Representative (ACR) designated status (asset).

Responsibilities

• Daily management and coordination of shipments.
• Collaborate with overseas offices/agents to organize air and ocean shipments.
• Establish and coordinate schedules with carriers and tender/dispatch shipments.
• Create/prepare shipping documents as required.
• Work with customs brokers and agencies to arrange import clearance.
• Track and trace all shipments; ensure KPIs are met.
