Job summary

Alberta Health Services in Wetaskiwin is seeking a dedicated Perioperative Registered Nurse to join the operating room team. This role covers perioperative patient care with scrub and circulating duties, aligned with CRNA, ORNAC, and CSA standards, in a busy Wetaskiwin OR with three theatres.

The position reports to the OR department Manager and offers a temporary PT role (0.60 FTE) with benefits, starting mid-October 2026, and includes a shift mix of days, evenings, and on call.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited nursing education program.
• Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the CRNA.
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative patient care in scrub and circulating roles.
• Maintain safety and quality through nursing processes and teamwork.
• Lead and support an integrated approach to patient care in the OR/PACU.
