Role and Responsibilities
- Lead test planning, preparation, and execution activities.
- Analyze, develop, debug, execute, and maintain complex automated test cases.
- Be responsible for all project/release testing (e.g., integration, business acceptance, performance, operability, deployment verification).
- Coordinate testing planning and support with partners (e.g., business, CIO group, Infrastructure).
- Lead documentation creation, review, and sign-off (e.g., test strategies, plans, schedule, cost estimates, test cases, dashboards, defect logs, test phase closure reports, entry/exit criteria, and gating).
- Apply risk analysis methodologies and tools aligned with the project's development approach.
- Prioritize testing tasks to ensure milestones, activities, and tasks are completed on schedule.
- Create and execute test cases to meet timelines.
- Ensure testing does not impact the production environment and meets security/privacy policies.
- Chair daily defect status calls, document, track, and report testing and defect status using standard metrics.
- Lead relationships with project teams, offshore teams, release teams, third parties, and clients.
- Build and maintain test environments, monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve issues.
- Coordinate code deployments, maintenance upgrades, and project testing across various environments and platforms.
- Follow established testing processes, identify and address issues, develop contingency plans.
- Participate in audit reviews of test artifacts and ensure they meet standards and are properly stored.
- Participate in gate reviews and ensure adherence to gating criteria.
- Communicate scope changes impacting testing, monitor issues, and recommend solutions.
- Track financials and resources needed for projects.
- Use tools to develop and maintain virtualized services and environments.
- Coach colleagues and serve as a reference for the requirements management lifecycle.
Must Have Skills
- Garbage Collection Analysis
- Server/Host Capacity Analysis
- Understanding of RESTful API design
- Understanding of DevOps and Agile methodologies
- Knowledge of Three-tier web architecture and Client-Server models
- Strong programming and scripting foundation with adaptability to new languages
Nice to Have Skills
- Experience with BlazeMeter and other APM tools (e.g., App Dynamics, New Relic)
- Knowledge of cloud computing, IBM PMAT, NodeJS frameworks (ExpressJS, KeystoneJS, SocketIO), Bootstrap, CSS frameworks, Git, Bitbucket, MongoDB, SQL, Confluence, Python, Jython, Java, C#, Ruby, VBA, Jenkins, Splunk, Jira, HP ALM
