Qualifications

What You'll Be Doing

You’ll be joining CIBC’s Shared Platform Technology Team. As a Performance Consultant, IT Quality Assurance you’ll be hands on with all aspects of the systems testing process and provide suggestions that will ensure client needs are met with the highest quality. You’ll be a team lead on CIBC’s Technology team, assigning and overseeing the execution of test cases, creating test plans, developing strategies, and providing estimates that will help create the bank of the future. and providing coaching to your team members.

At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. To successfully perform the work, you’ll be on-site full-time. You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.

How You'll Succeed

  • Testing expertise – Lead the investigation and translation of business requirements into test cases. Design and manage end-to-end testing activities for various projects across the business. Use your expertise in software development testing to provide clients with quality products that meet business and system requirements. 5 plus years of Performance testing for (Web, API, JBoss) applications, along with understanding of system performance and capacity. Experience with following tools (NeoLoad, JMeter, LoadRunner, Jira, Confluence, OpenShift, Grafana, GitHub, ALM). Performance testing on applications with high volume transactions.
  • Leadership skills – Provide advice to your team, including ongoing feedback, support, and mentorship. Proactively identify any potential issues throughout all test phases, and suggest possible improvements or enhancements.
  • Project coordination – Identify obstacles or risks that may impact a project’s timeline or success and provide regular status updates to the business. Keep the lines of communication open with stakeholders, and escalate issues when necessary. Ensure that all test deliverables are received, approved, and aligned to your project’s timeline, budget and goals. Leading small test teams (Onshore/Offshore) and developing test strategy plans and lead team to execute. Ensuring complete test coverage meeting business requirements. Manage timelines and escalate to leadership if timelines could be impacted. Ensure timelines are aligned with the Project dates. Responsible for communications to PM and leadership.

Who You Are

  • You can demonstrate 5 years+ experience in software development testing, automation, and software process improvement. It’s an asset if you have experience writing and executing SQL queries, and have software development experience in Java, C#, Python, VBScript, etc. Performance testing on large-scale high-volume applications.
