Job summary

Illingworth Research Group in Vernon, BC seeks a Research Nurse for per diem independent contractor work. The role supports clinical trials at sponsor sites and in home settings, delivering patient-focused nursing services across trial phases.

You will conduct visits, perform venepuncture and ECG, document per protocol and SOPs, and coordinate with project managers while ensuring GCP compliance and patient safety. Applicants must be a registered nurse with clinical trial experience.

Qualifications

• Must be a registered nurse with at least 2 years post-qualification experience.
• GCP certification required.
• Experience in clinical trials desirable.
• Venepuncture and ECG experience preferable.
• Proficient with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Run trial visits and support day-to-day trial operations per protocol and SOPs.
• Coordinate with RNPM, site staff, and Principal Investigator for smooth information flow.
• Maintain accurate documentation and data transfer per SOPs while ensuring subject confidentiality.
• Attend Site Initiation Visits and other required meetings.
• Administer trial medication and manage storage and accountability accordingly.
• Process, package, and dispatch samples as required.
• Assist in identifying eligible patients and support recruitment for trials.
• Ensure adverse events are reported per regulatory requirements.
• Report misconduct or fraud as needed.
