Job summary

Headlands Research in Kelowna, BC is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner/Sub Investigator to help grow our clinical trial site. The role offers part-time or casual hours with onsite work at our Okanagan site and a pay rate of $100/hr, reflecting our commitment to diverse and inclusive clinical research.

Responsibilities include leading trial activities, mentoring site staff, ensuring protocol compliance, and coordinating with sponsors and monitors.

Qualifications

• Experience as Nurse Practitioner/Sub-Investigator in clinical trials is a huge plus, but candidates without will be considered.
• Must hold or be eligible for a license to practice as an MD or DO in British Columbia.
• Board certification or eligibility is required.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills with sponsors, research teams and external stakeholders.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements, GCP guidelines, and best practices in clinical research.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with conducting clinical trials at Headlands Research sites, ensuring protocol compliance and ethical guidelines.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to site staff, promoting diversity and professionalism.
• Participate in investigator meetings and educational initiatives to stay updated on advancements.
• Obtain IRB approval for study initiation and protocol modifications.
• Oversee subject safety and informed consent process.
• Communicate effectively with sponsors, monitors, regulators, and research leadership.
• Provide ongoing training and support to research staff.
