Job summary

PepsiCo Beverages in Winnipeg, MB, is seeking a full-time Transport Driver to move products and materials across branches and plant locations. The role includes tractor/trailer and sleeper tractor duties with flexible day/night shifts and potential overnight runs.

Responsibilities

• Transport products and raw materials to/from branches (Kenora, Dauphin, Brandon) and plant locations.
• Drive a Tractor/Trailer and LCV, days and times to be determined.
• May be responsible for picking up raw materials from suppliers and returning to the plant.
• Day and Night Shift Flexibility required.
• Overnight runs required with sleeper tractor.
• Hooking/unhooking trailer/convertor combinations; axle capacities and MOT rules knowledge; HOS proficiency.
• Must perform all work duties in a safe and efficient manner.
• Additional duties as assigned by manager.

Compensation:

• Kilometer rate of $0.34 per KM with a standing rate of $25.21 per hour

• Clear understanding of all MOT rules/regulations, along with HOS proficiency and reporting
• Must perform all work duties in a safe and efficient manner

Major Physical Demands:

• Occasionally pushing/pulling/lifting a maximum of 250 lbs. (with the aid of a mechanical device).
• Frequent bending and reaching above the shoulder.

Qualifications

• A valid Class 1 Driver’s license required; with documented driving experience. Ie HOS reports
• Extended length permit preferred, with a clean abstract as well as a proven safe driving record, TDG and LCV certificate preferred
• Ability to demonstrate excellent defensive driving skills and professional driver techniques in a highway and inter city environment
• Candidates will perform a proper brake adjustment, and complete a thorough Pre-trip inspection, identifying components most subject to wear.
• Clean abstract and PepsiCo safety compliance
• Dependable with strong customer focus and the ability to quickly adapt to the changing needs of our internal customers.
• 1,000,000 highway miles or more long haul experience preferred.
