Overview
The company is currently looking for 1 individual to perform the duties of a Service Person “A”. The available shift(s) are 5 x 8 hours, Monday to Friday, from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, with the possibility of on call. Additional shifts include Tuesday to Thursday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm, Friday 11:30 am – 8:00 pm, and Saturday 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, plus on call. Shifts are subject to change based on training, coverage needs, skills, abilities, and seniority-based rebids.
Responsibilities
Job duties include:
- Working independently to troubleshoot and repair soft drink dispensing equipment and related foodservice equipment, such as vending machines, visi coolers, fountain equipment, ice makers, food heating equipment, and FCB machines.
- Delivering vendor and cooler equipment and installing fountain equipment.
- Using and maintaining trade tools and specialized testing equipment, including electrical meters and refrigeration diagnostic tools.
- Completing invoices, settlement sheets, and related paperwork via handheld computers or manual processes.
- Maintaining parts and equipment inventory.
- Shift work will be required once trained and/or Pepsi Pro certified.
- Achieving the company’s goal of 6+ successful activities per day.
Qualifications
Required qualifications include:
- Pepsi Pro Certification within 6 months of employment.
- Completion of Level I & II Heating, Refrigeration, and Air Conditioning courses is an asset.
- Electrical fundamentals and troubleshooting courses are assets.
- Valid Ontario AZ driver’s license is preferred.
- A clean Ministry of Transport driver’s abstract and CVOR certificates are required per company policy.
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
- High school diploma.
- Ability to safely move heavy vending and cooling equipment.
- Proficiency with handheld computers using Apple/Windows software.
- Ability to lift up to 60 pounds.
- Ability to work with arms extended overhead for prolonged periods.
- Prolonged driving of 8+ hours.
- Ability to service equipment in low storage areas, requiring kneeling, stooping, crouching, and squatting.
- Previous mechanic experience is a strong asset.
- A mechanical and electrical aptitude test will be administered, with a 75% pass rate required.
