Job summary

PepsiCo Beverages is seeking a Full-time Fleet Mechanic in Canada to maintain and repair our class 6/8 trucks and industrial equipment. You will utilize predictive diagnostic tools and perform preventative maintenance to keep the fleet reliable and safe.

Role requires a journeyperson certification and the ability to work independently, with OT opportunities and a strong emphasis on safety in a modern work environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent GED required.
• Certified HET / 310T Journeyperson is required.
• Minimum of 2 years work experience with preventative maintenance on class 6/8 trucks and industrial equipment.
• Must be able to provide own tool set for the work.
• Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Performing preventative maintenance on equipment as assigned.
• Leveraging predictive diagnostic software to aid in eliminating vehicle breakdowns.
• Diagnose vehicle failures and perform mechanical repairs and replacements as required.
• Respond to local road calls and/or coordinate service support as necessary.
• Performing all assigned duties in a safe and productive manner.

Compensation

• $41.55 per hour with full-time hours and overtime opportunities

Additional skills you may have (not required, these are assets)

• Experience with propane and electric forklifts, hydraulic liftgates, agriculture equipment, reefers, vans, pickups and cars
• Welding and electrical experience

Physical demands and working conditions

• You can lift/carry and push/pull up to 100lbs
• You are comfortable working in a multi-temperature environment
• Must be able to perform frequent standing, bending, twisting, kneeling, squatting, reaching and grasping
• Must be able to work evenings, weekends and overtime as required
