About The Role

We’re looking for a strategic operator and experienced program manager with a proven track record of overseeing strategy, execution, and oversight of strategic initiatives. In this role, you’ll manage the People team’s strategic portfolio, ensuring alignment with Affirm’s priorities, tracking progress, and optimizing execution. You’ll turn ideas into actionable strategies and drive execution across the People team, ensuring clarity, focus, and timely delivery. What You’ll Do

1. Strategic Planning: Support the annual fiscal year strategic planning and budget planning processes in collaboration with the People Leadership Team.
2. Portfolio Strategy & Management: Implement a portfolio management strategy to align, track, and evaluate projects effectively and ensure alignment with Affirm’s strategic priorities.
3. CPO Support: Directly support the CPO by planning, prioritizing, and executing on critical needs and requirements for the People team.
4. Communications: Develop high-quality written and oral communications for various audiences ranging from executives to the broader employee population, including talk tracks, presentations, and messaging, ensuring clarity and strategic alignment.
5. Standardization: Establish consistent project management, change management, and communication practices, including frameworks, tools, and templates.
6. Operational Excellence: Streamline People Team operations, including refining the operating model, maintaining the budget, and driving process improvements.

What We’re Looking For

1. 5–6 years of experience in program management, portfolio management, strategic operations, consulting, or a chief-of-staff role, ideally within a People/HR function.
2. Strong organizational and prioritization skills with a track record of managing complex, cross-functional projects.
3. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to craft clear, compelling messaging for senior leaders.
4. Excellent project management skills, with the ability to build strong cross-functional relationships and collaborate effectively.
5. Ability to identify risks, streamline processes, and deliver impactful results in a fast-paced environment.
6. Strategic thinker with attention to detail, proactive problem-solving, and demonstrated ability to ask the right questions when collaborating with key stakeholders.
7. Experience working with senior leaders and executives, with the ability to influence and build alignment across all levels of the organization.
8. Familiarity with change management frameworks and tools is a plus.

Pay Grade - J

Equity Grade - 4

Employees new to Affirm typically come in at the start of the pay range. Affirm focuses on providing a simple and transparent pay structure which is based on a variety of factors, including location, experience and job-related skills.

Base pay is part of a total compensation package that may include equity rewards, monthly stipends for health, wellness and tech spending, and benefits (including 100% subsidized medical coverage, dental and vision for you and your dependents.)

CAN base pay range per year: $102,000 - $142,000

Affirm is proud to be a remote-first company! The majority of our roles are remote and you can work almost anywhere within the country of employment. Affirmers in proximal roles have the flexibility to work remotely, but will occasionally be required to work out of their assigned Affirm office. A limited number of roles remain office-based due to the nature of their job responsibilities.
