This volunteer position offers a unique opportunity to utilize your skills and contribute to making a significant impact on individuals' lives. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in shaping the volunteer experience across their lifecycle - from onboarding to engagement, wellbeing, and offboarding. You’ll help ensure that every volunteer feels supported, connected, and valued throughout their time with us.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and Execute onboarding processes for new volunteers
  • Maintain accurate volunteer records and lifecycle data
  • Schedule and facilitate regular check-ins, pulse surveys, and feedback loops
  • Support conflict resolution, peer mediation, and emotional wellness initiatives
  • Plan and execute volunteer appreciation and recognition programs
  • Collaborate with Recruitment and ODC teams to ensure smooth handovers
  • Maintain and update internal people policies and documentation
  • Monitor volunteer participation and flag disengagements
  • Help organize virtual team-building events and HR communications

Qualifications:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills - both verbal and written
  • Empathy-driven mindset with a passion for community building
  • Organized and proactive - able to track processes and follow up
  • Proficiency using or learning tools like Google Workspace & Slack
  • Ability to handle confidential information sensitively and professionally
  • Willingness to collaborate and contribute ideas in a flexible, volunteer-led environment
  • Familiarity with NGO operations is a plus.
  • Work closely with HR and leadership teams
  • Empowering emerging adults with their growth and development
  • Innovating the movement towards mental wellness
  • Collaboration with multidisciplinary senior board members

Time Commitment:

  • Minimum 8-12 hours/week
  • Regular weekly check-in with People Ops Lead
  • Monthly Meeting with Board
