True Anomaly, Inc. is hiring a People Operations Generalist near Denver to support the employee lifecycle, onboarding, benefits, HRIS management, policy maintenance, and regulatory compliance.

You will be the primary contact for employee inquiries and help deliver an efficient, compliant, and positive experience. The ideal candidate is highly organized, discreet with confidential information, and can manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Process hires, transfers and terminations in HRIS (Rippling) and downstream workflows.
• Support onboarding and offboarding logistics (I-9s, benefits enrollment, equipment retrieval).
• Prepare and send routine employee communications (policy reminders, open enrollment).
• Maintain employee communications channels (Teams, Confluence).
• Answer employee questions on benefits and leaves.
• Identify process gaps and drive improvements with balance of speed and quality.
• Support multi-state compliance with document retention and notices.
• Assist audits with HR/Legal/Finance stakeholders as needed.
• Conduct periodic data integrity reviews for compliance and audits.

YOUR MISSION

We’re hiring a People Operations Generalist to support the employee lifecycle and help deliver an efficient, compliant, and positive employee experience. Responsibilities include onboarding and offboarding, benefits administration, HRIS management, policy development and maintenance, and compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations. The Generalist also serves as a primary point of contact for employee inquiries and provides timely, accurate guidance on HR policies, programs, and procedures.

The ideal candidate is highly organized and detail-oriented, handles confidential information with discretion, and can manage many priorities in a fast-paced environment. The role calls for strong communication skills, sound judgment, and a commitment to continuous process improvement.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Process hires, transfers and terminations in HRIS (Rippling), and respective downstream workflows
• Support onboarding and offboarding logistics (I-9s, benefits enrollment support, equipment retrieval)
• Prepare and send routine employee communications (policy reminders, open enrollment communications.
• Maintain employee communication channels (Teams, Confluence)
• Possesses foundational knowledge of benefits and leaves to field employee questions.
• Identify system/process gaps, propose improvements, and drive implementation—balancing speed with quality.
• Support multi-state compliance execution through strong process controls (document retention, policy acknowledgements, required notices, tracking).
• Assist with audits and internal checks (e.g., I-9 process coordination, policy distribution, data accuracy reviews) in partnership with senior People/Legal/Finance stakeholders as needed.
• Conduct periodic data integrity reviews across the HRIS, payroll, and benefits platforms, and reconcile any discrepancies so the data is ready for compliance and audits.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree
• Ideally 3+ years of work experience in a People Operations role in a start-up environment.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• A strong communicator with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proactive and resourceful, with a problem-solving mindset and a customer-focused approach.
• Tech-savvy, with experience and proficiency in tools like Microsoft Office, Slack, Microsoft Teams or Zoom, and Confluence.
• Hand-on experience with an HRIS (Rippling experience preferred)
• Comfortable handling sensitive information with discretion and maintaining strict confidentiality.
• A collaborative team player who thrives in a dynamic and evolving environment.
• Passionate about fostering positive employee experiences and contributing to organizational success.

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• SHRM-CP or PHR certification

COMPENSATION

• Base Salary: Base Salary: $75,000- $105,000

Your actual level and base salary will bedetermined on a case‑by‑case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job‑related knowledge and skills, education, location, and experience.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

• Work Location —Successful candidates will be located near Denver.
• Work environment —the work environment; temperature, noise level, inside or outside, or other factors that will affect the person’s working conditions while performing the job.
• Physical demands —the physical demands of the job, including bending, sitting, lifting and driving.
