Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree with focus in Industrial/Labour Relations or related field preferred.
  • 3-5 years of HR generalist and leadership experience.
  • Experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment.

Overview

The People Experience (HR) Associate Manager position contributes to PepsiCo Foods Canada’s success by supporting the People agenda through implementing strategies and policies to foster harmonious employee relations while meeting key business objectives. Reporting to the Director, People Experience - Quaker, this position serves as a functional business partner to site leadership collaboratively enhancing our employee experience and delivering on operational needs for both the Peterborough and Trenton manufacturing facilities. In addition, the HRM is responsible for maintaining collaborative employee relations, facilitating strong talent acquisition, development and retention, and managing key processes including disability, performance, attendance, and change.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute core HR initiatives aligned with PepsiCo’s strategic goals.
  • Partner with Operations leaders to develop and implement talent strategies, including campus recruitment and succession planning.
  • Build organizational capability through performance management, leadership coaching, and change leadership.
  • Provide strategic leadership to all site labour relations activities, including Collective Bargaining, Arbitration, Mediation and the grievance resolution.
  • Promote a positive workplace culture by executing employee relations strategies, organizational health initiatives, supporting dispute resolution, and driving diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.
  • Ensure consistent application of company policies and procedures, acting as a trusted advisor to leaders and frontline employees.
  • Support local outreach efforts and foster strong internal and external relationships to strengthen talent pipelines.
  • Collaborate with Disability Case Managers and EHS partners to manage workplace accommodations, return-to-work, and case management.
  • Ensure compliance with provincial and federal employment legislation. Including: ESA, Human Rights Legislation, Ministry of Labour.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree with focus in Industrial/Labour Relations, Human Resources Management, Business or another related field preferred
  • Prior Human Resources generalist experience and HR Leadership experience 3-5 years
  • Ideal candidate has experience supporting front-line employees, in a fast-paced 24/7 operation with field-based client groups, within a manufacturing and/or distribution centre environment
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects with overlapping tasks and work independently with minimal supervision
