  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration or related field.
  • CPHR designation preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years varied HR experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years leading projects & people.
  • Experience developing workforce plans for dispersed organizations.
  • Experience supporting geographically dispersed organizations.
  • Equivalent combination of related education & experience may be considered.

Our offices are located across all regions of British Columbia, and our services are now expanding into Alberta.

Overview:

We have an exciting opportunity for a People and Culture Manager to join our team, providing strategic leadership and oversight for the organization's human resources portfolio.

The Manager is responsible for leading the execution of HR programs, processes, and initiatives across the organization. This role partners closely with leadership to implement people strategies, enhance employee experience, and ensure compliance, while overseeing day-to-day HR operations and supporting organizational growth. Travel to offices across BC and Alberta will be required for this role.

This role can be based out of our Chilliwack, Maple Ridge, North Vancouver, Prince George, Fort St. John, Squamish orWilliams Lake offices. Hybrid or remote work options may be made available.

Job Responsibilities:

The Manager provides leadership, coaching, and support to the People & Culture team, ensuring the delivery of people-first programs and practices that reflect our corporate values of Safety, Integrity, Excellence, Partnership, and Generosity. Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading HR policies and practices that promote a safe, compliant, and equitable workplace, providing trusted guidance to leaders and employees.
  • Partnering with leaders to attract and retain talent, leveraging workforce insights and delivering an exceptional onboarding experience.
  • Championing employee growth and organizational capability through learning, development, succession planning, and strategic HR initiatives.
  • Overseeing compensation and benefits programs, ensuring competitive, equitable, and well-managed offerings that support employee well-being.
  • Driving performance excellence by leading performance management processes, coaching leaders, and supporting labour and employee relations matters with fairness and consistency.
  • Fostering an engaged and inclusive culture by leading employee engagement and recognition initiatives and partnering with leaders to enhance the employee experience.
  • Promoting positive employee relations through respectful conflict resolution, workplace investigations, and proactive support for leaders and employees.
  • Ensuring operational excellence in HR administration, maintaining accurate systems, records, and workforce analytics that support informed decision-making and continuous improvement.
Qualifications, Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or another relevant field.
  • CPHR designation is preferred.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of varied and progressive HR experience.
  • A minimum of two (2) years leading projects and people.
  • Experience developing workforce plans (succession plans, training and development plans, talent acquisition plans, etc.)
  • Experience supporting a large, geographically dispersed organization.
  • An equivalent combination of related education and experience may be considered.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Comprehensive knowledge of employment legislation with strong expertise in labour relations.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute HR programs aligned with organizational objectives and continuous improvement goals.
  • Exceptional communication, facilitation, coaching, and influencing skills, with the ability to build credibility and engagement at all levels of the organization.
  • Proven ability to lead change, strengthen leadership capability, and foster a people-first, values-driven culture that prioritizes respect, inclusion, and flexibility.
  • Sound judgment and decision-making skills, with the ability to identify emerging risks, develop talent, and drive sustained improvements.
Compensation:

The starting salary range is $48-$55 per hour, based on a 40-hour work week, and will be commensurate with experience and qualifications. Managers are paid for all hours worked.
