About The Role

The People & Culture Coordinator will participate as an active member of the People & Culture team. The Coordinator’s main focus will be to ensure administrative compliance, update any of the encompassing HRIS related platforms, lead the talent acquisition process and provide administrative assistance to the People & Culture team.

This is an 18-month contract.

The annual salary for this position is $57,500 -$65,000, depending on experience. This position is remote (GTA) but may require to be in-person at times.

Areas of Responsibilities

  • Manage the employee lifecycle from start to finish including onboarding, benefits and tools administration, and offboarding coordination;
  • Initiate the semi-monthly payroll process up until final submission which includes preparing payroll summary, calculating, tracking and submitting payroll changes to the payroll provider;
  • Lead recruitment for hiring managers by assisting in creating job postings, managing internal and external job boards, scheduling interviews, conducting candidate screening, coordinating background checks and preparing job offer letters;
  • Manages company-wide communication and technical support (sharing company meetings, important information and updates)
  • Assist in ad-hoc HR projects and requests. Support the execution of annual HR activities;
  • Monitor the department’s email inbox multiple times a day. Ensures answering general inquiries and dispatching to the right team member;
  • First point of contact for HRIS management and general employee inquiries.

Required Skills And Experience

  • 2+ years of previous HR administrative experience;
  • Strong computer skills particularly in Google Apps (Gmail, Drive, Google Calendar, etc.);
  • Experience with HRIS, Applicant Tracking and Onboarding Systems; Knowledge of BambooHR is an asset;
  • 2 + Payroll Administration experience;
  • Ability to interact with all levels of the organization, has customer service orientation with a positive attitude, and strong ability to maintain confidentiality and manage highly sensitive information;
  • Highly organized with ability to prioritize multiple tasks and has a keen sense of urgency with a strong attention to detail and accuracy;
  • Independent delivery with the ability to work in a team-driven environment – success is measured as a team!
