Job summary

Hearing and Speech Nova Scotia is accepting applications for a temporary, full-time Speech-Language Pathologist. The home base will be in a to-be-determined HRM site and you will provide preschool and adult services across the province, including virtual and in-person sessions.

The position requires a Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology, NSCASLP licensure or eligibility, strong English communication, flexible evenings/weekends, and willingness to travel.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
• NSCASLP licensure or eligibility for licensure.
• Effective communication skills in English (written and spoken).
• Flexibility to work evenings/weekends.
• Willingness to travel across Nova Scotia.
• Current immunization boosters as required.
• Experience with preschool speech-language assessment and treatment.
• Familiarity with pediatric service delivery options.
• Commitment to family-centered care.
• Valid Nova Scotia driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Provide preschool and adult speech-language pathology services province-wide.
• Deliver services across in-person and virtual formats.
• Travel regularly across the province; overnight travel may occur.
• Collaborate with interprofessional teams and support staff.
• Follow provincial clinical standards and reporting to the Manager.
