Job summary

Bethesda Community Services is seeking a Full Time Speech and Language Pathologist to support adults, children and youth with developmental disabilities within the Children’s Services program. You will conduct assessments, develop intervention plans, train staff, and collaborate with community partners.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in communications related field from an accredited university.
  • Registration with CASLPO (College of Speech Language Pathologists & Audiologists of Ontario).
  • Minimum two years of experience in speech and language pathology.
  • Experience working with clients with developmental disabilities is an asset.
  • Experience working within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • First Aid Training and CPR Certification.
  • Nonviolent Crisis Intervention certified.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct assessments and identify treatment goals and service hours independently.
  • Present assessment results, clinical recommendations and treatment reports to caregivers and community partners when appropriate.
  • Monitor and evaluate clinical treatment plans and update as necessary.
  • Provide coaching and support to Caregivers, Community Partners, CYS Team Members, and Students.
  • Maintain client records and complete documentation as required.
  • Collaborate with Community Partners and Interdisciplinary Team Members.
