Job summary

Home Care Assistance is seeking a pediatric registered nurse to care for a 2-year-old in the family’s home in Barrie, Ontario. This is a weekend daytime role with Saturday and Sunday shifts of 5–8 hours; training can be provided to meet the child’s needs.

The ideal candidate holds a current Ontario RN certificate; familiarity with G-tubes, trach care and airway management is preferred. Strong communication, critical thinking and time management are essential; a criminal records/vulnerable sector

Qualifications

• Current certificate of competence with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
• Preference for candidates with G-tubes, trach care and airway management.
• Valid First Aid and CPR certificates preferred.
• Strong critical thinking and physical assessment skills.
• Oxygen tank management is mandatory.
• Ability to communicate with families and colleagues professionally.
• Effective time management under time constraints and in line with job requirements.
• Pass a criminal records/vulnerable sector screen, recent COVID-19 test and provide professional references.

Job description

Immediate opening for a pediatric registered nurse to work with a 2 year old in community. Client is in a home setting. Saturday and Sundays day time hours 5-8 hour shifts. Training can be provided to meet the needs of the client.

Other key qualifications for this position will include, but are not limited to:

• Current certificate of competence with the College of Nurses of Ontario


• Preference will be given to candidates withG-tubes, trach care and airway management.
