Job summary

WeeCare Pediatric Home Health Care in Ontario is seeking a Temporary Personal Support Worker to support a pediatric client in Orangeville. This overnight role runs Sunday to Thursday, 22:00–07:30, and focuses on safe personal care, daily living activities, and encouraging development at home.

You will document care, monitor the child's condition, and communicate with the guardian and WeeCare about changes. A PSW certification, pediatric experience, BLS, and a current Vulnerable Sector Check are

Qualifications

• Graduate of a certified Personal Support Worker program.
• Experience working with pediatric clients.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Vulnerable Sector Check completed within the past 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Maintain child's records and required documentation.
• Assist the child with personal care, hygiene, and activities of daily living.
• Observe and report on changes in child's condition to guardian and WeeCare.
• Assist with ambulation, mobilization, transferring, and adaptive aids.
• Demonstrate understanding of child's needs and maximize abilities.
• Provide cognitive, social, emotional, and psychological support to the child/parent/guardian.
• Respond to child/parent/guardian concerns and ensure appropriate action is taken.
• Assist in maintaining a safe and clean environment, including child's equipment and belongings.
• Notify supervisor of any concerns impacting child's safety, incidents, and accidents.
• Complete all other tasks as assigned.
