Job summary

Responsibilities include education, care planning, and leadership to improve outcomes. Licensure as an NC RN and BLS certification are required; prior pediatric critical care or emergency experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers.
• One year of nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Education - Identifies learning needs and uses patient education materials relevant to patient population.
• Evaluation of Care - Identifies expected patient outcomes and revises the plan as needed.
• Implementation - Delivers care for patients with complex problems and coordinates discharge planning.
• Leadership - Supports unit goals and collaborates across teams, promoting safe and cost-effective care.
• Patient Assessment - Synthesizes data to set priorities and plan care with families.
• Planning - Partners with patient/family to update the care plan and coordinates resources.
• Research - Engages with journals and shares insights for practice improvement.
