Job summary

Alberta Health Services in Grande Prairie, AB, is hiring Full Time Pediatric Associate Physicians to support the Pediatric and NICU teams at Grande Prairie Regional Hospital. You will work under pediatricians, respond to ER calls, attend deliveries, and provide post-natal and NICU support with 24/7 coverage according to a rotating schedule.

The role requires an Alberta LPR – Clinical Assistant license or ACSAP eligibility.

Qualifications

• Must hold LPR–Clinical Assistant license or be ACSAP-eligible.
• Experience in management of critically ill patients; Canadian health system preferred; surgery training in Canada preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the Pediatric and NICU wards under Pediatricians.
• Respond to emergent ER calls and manage preterm infants (32 weeks+) in NICU.
• Attend deliveries; document admission notes, orders and discharge summaries.
• Attend codes in pediatric ward and NICU; provide 24/7 coverage per shift.
• First responder to nursing calls from pediatric and NICU wards and provide airway management as needed.
