Harvey & Company Ltd. - Corner Brook, NL is seeking a PDI Technician to assemble, inspect and test new equipment before delivery to customers. You will work hands-on with trucks, construction equipment and more in a full-time, permanent role at our Corner Brook location.

This position emphasizes mechanical aptitude, attention to detail and the ability to follow manufacturer and dealership PDIs. Duties include documentation, basic repairs, fluids checks, and safe equipment handover to customers.

Formación

• Mechanical aptitude with trucks and heavy equipment.
• Experience with heavy equipment, trucks or similar machinery preferred.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record; safety focus.

Responsabilidades

• Perform pre-delivery inspections (PDI) on new equipment as per manufacturer requirements.
• Assemble and prepare new equipment for sale and delivery.
• Install attachments, accessories and optional equipment.
• Check and top up fluids, lubricants and other service items.
• Inspect equipment for damage, deficiencies or missing components.
• Perform basic mechanical adjustments and minor repairs identified during PDI.
• Test equipment functions and operating systems to ensure proper operation.
• Start, operate and move equipment as required.
• Complete manufacturer and dealership PDI documentation accurately.
• Identify warranty or quality issues and report them to the Service Manager.
• Ensure equipment is clean, complete and presented before delivery.
• Maintain tools, equipment and workspace in a clean, organized condition.
• Support the 5S workplace organization and safety standards.

Harvey & Company is looking for a PDI Technician to join our team in Corner Brook.

As Newfoundland & Labrador's Heavy Equipment Superstore, Harvey & Company Corner Brook represents leading equipment brands including Kubota, International trucks, and Hangcha lift equipment. We are looking for a mechanically inclined, dependable individual who takes pride in making sure new equipment is properly assembled, inspected and ready for delivery to our customers.

The Role

The PDI Technician is responsible for the assembly, inspection, preparation and testing of new equipment before it is delivered to the customer.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone with mechanical aptitude who enjoys working hands-on with trucks, construction equipment, agricultural equipment and material-handling equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform pre-delivery inspections (PDI) on new equipment in accordance with manufacturer requirements.
• Assemble and prepare new equipment for sale and delivery.
• Install attachments, accessories and optional equipment.
• Check and top up fluids, lubricants and other required service items.
• Inspect equipment for damage, deficiencies or missing components.
• Perform basic mechanical adjustments and minor repairs identified during PDI.
• Test equipment functions and operating systems to ensure proper operation.
• Start, operate and move equipment as required.
• Complete manufacturer and dealership PDI documentation accurately.
• Identify warranty or quality issues and report them to the Service Manager.
• Ensure equipment is clean, complete and professionally presented before customer delivery.
• Maintain tools, equipment and assigned work areas in a clean and organized condition.
• Support Harvey & Company's 5S workplace organization and safety standards.
• Assist the Service Department with other equipment preparation and shop duties as required.

What We're Looking For

• Strong mechanical aptitude and an interest in trucks and heavy equipment.
• Previous mechanical, automotive, equipment or trades experience is an asset.
• Experience with heavy equipment, agricultural equipment, trucks, forklifts or similar machinery is an asset.
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools and basic diagnostic equipment.
• Ability to read and follow manufacturer assembly and inspection instructions.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Dependable, organized and able to work independently.
• Commitment to workplace safety and quality workmanship.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driver's abstract.
• Ability to safely operate equipment or willingness to be trained.
• Red Seal certification is not required for this position.
