Job summary

Nurse Next Door is seeking enthusiastic Care Aides to support individuals receiving peritoneal dialysis at home in Prince Rupert, BC. After comprehensive training, you will be certified as a Peritoneal Dialysis Caregiver and contribute to safer, higher-quality community care.

Role includes local travel to client homes, adhering to safety protocols, and documenting therapy data. A $500 Welcome Bonus is offered to new hires.

Qualifications

Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
Driver's license and access to a vehicle; regional travel to clients with mileage compensation.
Ability to lift 20 kg and perform physical tasks as required.
Must follow verbal and written directions related to client care.

Responsibilities

Complies with safety regulations and operates equipment safely.
Operates within the PD program parameters and performs tasks safely.
Assists in assembling, breakdown, and programming of the cycler; monitors vitals and weights.
Adds heparin to the dialysate as instructed.
Records visit notes and therapy numbers; coordinates with CSC for scheduling.
