Job summary

Vancouver Island Health Authority seeks an RN to provide nursing care for patients undergoing hemodialysis at Duncan Community Dialysis. The role requires collaboration with a multidisciplinary team and a focus on safety, patient education, and informed choice.

The successful candidate will hold BC RN registration, BCLS certification, and prior hemodialysis experience or equivalent training. The position runs as a temporary part-time assignment with rotating shifts and start in late October.

Qualifications

• RN registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives required.
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support certification required.
• Hemodialysis experience or completion of recognized program in Nephrology Nursing or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients with chronic and acute renal failure undergoing hemodialysis.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to support informed patient and family choices.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate care, and educate patients and families.
