Peter Ballantyne Child & Family Services Inc. is seeking a Casual Culture Center Worker for the PBCFSI Cultural Center.

The casual worker will report to the Culture Center Coordinator and cover absent staff while helping maintain a welcoming, safe and clean facility. The role involves housekeeping, meal preparation, dining room setup, serving meals, and supporting participants in a culturally respectful environment.

• Verbal and written skills able to communicate.
• Knowledge of Woodland Cree language, culture and the political and social objectives of PBCN First Nation.
• Persons of First Nation’s Ancestry are encouraged to apply.
• Must Have Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle.
• Satisfactory Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check

Responsibilities

• Covering absent full-time Culture Center staff
• Maintaining and cleaning the buildings to ensure the facilities are accessible and are safe and effective
• Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, all duties related to house keeping (Camp laundry, wash dishes, clean cabins daily)
• Assist with meal preparation and dining room set up; serve and clean up after meals
• Ensuring clients understand the value of the program in which they are placed
• Actively participating with the programs whenever possible
• Implementing and maintaining consistent routines in the facilities
• Ensuring a high standard of care of all children, youth and families is maintained in all facilities
• Ensuring the facilities are decorated in keeping with the cultural and social interest of the residents
• Ability to handle the solitude of living in a remote location

Peter Ballantyne Child & Family Services Inc. is accepting applications for one (1) Casual Culture Center Worker for the PBCFSI Cultural Center. The casual worker will report to the Culture Center Coordinator. The Cultural Center is located 240 kms North East of Prince Albert, SK on Highway 106, Hanson Lake Road. Located in between Bloomfield’s and Deschambault Lake Resort.
