Job summary

Peter Ballantyne Child & Family Services Inc. is seeking two Casual/On-Call Workers for the PBCFSI office in Southend.

The on-call role covers duties in the absence of a full-time staff member and requires availability at short notice, after regular hours and on weekends on an alternating basis. The successful candidates will have Grade 12 or GED, a Social Work certificate or related training, and a commitment to protecting children, with willingness to travel and participate in training.

Qualifications

• Excellent written, oral communication and public speaking skills.
• Must have a working telephone at your house.
• Knowledge of Cree culture and Cree Nation objectives are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-call coverage after regular office hours and weekends.
• Cover duties in the absence of a full-time staff member and respond on short notice.

Qualifications:

• Certificate of Social Work or equivalent training with and/or experience in the Child & Family Services area or related field.
• Maturity and Stability.
• Commitment to protecting children.
• Willingness to participate in training.
• Willingness to travel when required.
• Willingness to provide on-call coverage after regular office hours and weekends.

• Knowledge of the Cree culture, language, political and social objectives of Peter Ballantyne Cree Nation.
